A threat actor, dumpster, has listed what appears to be a large database of South African job seekers’ profiles for sale on a dark web forum. The threat actor claims the dataset is extensive, offering detailed personal and employment information on countless individuals looking for work in South Africa.
According to the dark web post, the database contains highly sensitive details such as:
- Full names, IDs, and login information
- Contact details including home addresses, phone numbers, emails, and fax numbers
- Demographics like race, gender, age, marital status, nationality
- Employment data such as current occupation, total gross salary, work permit numbers, salary expectations, notice periods
- Personal insights such as resumes, hobbies, driving license status, references, even photographs
- Special flags for items like disability disclosures, credit checks, and temporary work preferences
A sample was shared via a pastebin link, and the seller is offering additional data samples upon request.
