A threat actor operating under the name mrdump has successfully leaked internal documents from Algeria’s Ministry of Defense, specifically exposing details of the country’s military logistics and supply chain operations.
Earlier today, the actor had announced the breach on a dark web forum and has now followed through by publicly releasing an Excel document titled “جدول اللوجستيك لوزارة الدفاع.xlsx” (Logistics Table of the Ministry of Defense) on their Telegram channel.
While the full scope of the exposed data is still being reviewed, the file is confirmed to contain logistical details related to military operations. This leak poses significant risks to Algeria’s national security. The focus on logistics could expose supply routes, equipment movement, storage details, and procurement information, giving adversaries potential insight into the operational readiness of Algerian forces.
This incident marks the second government breach attributed to mrdump in recent days, following the earlier hack of Algeria’s Ministry of Youth and Sports. The pattern suggests an ongoing, targeted campaign against public sector entities in Algeria.
Authorities must act quickly to assess the impact of this breach, patch exposed systems, and prevent further leaks. With active campaigns now targeting military infrastructure, this leak highlights an urgent need for improved cyber resilience across defense and government networks.
