A threat actor operating under the alias “Kazu” has allegedly leaked data from Mauritania’s official platform for the Qualification and Certification of Employability (QCE), exposing sensitive information reportedly belonging to thousands of citizens.
According to the dark web post, the QCE platform, which is designed to validate professional qualifications and issue certification to job seekers and professionals, was compromised, with the attacker claiming to have exfiltrated 12.8 GB of data spanning over 13,600 files. The stolen dataset was listed for sale for $400.
While full details of the data contents are yet to surface publicly, Kazu shared a Telegram sample link and highlighted that the stolen material includes official records from Mauritania’s Ministry overseeing the platform. The data was allegedly made available for interested buyers with additional contact channels provided via Tox, Signal, and Telegram.
