A threat actor using the alias, NetExp, has claimed responsibility for a significant breach targeting the National School of Advanced Technologies (Algeria).
According to the attacker, the breach exposed a wide range of sensitive information belonging to both staff and students. This includes:
- Employee and student email addresses
- Phone numbers and home addresses
- Identity card details
- Student progress accounts and photos
The leak reportedly contains personal information of senior university officials, including the Director, and even mentions details tied to the daughter of Algeria’s Minister of Education, raising concerns about the political and social implications of this attack.
A sample record posted by the threat actor includes the personal CV of Pr. Mohamed Amine RIAHLA, a professor and expert consultant at the institution. The attacker also claimed to possess “all the data breach” and is offering full access via Telegram.
