The Beast ransomware group has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack targeting The Methodist Church of Southern Africa (MCSA). The organization has now been listed on the Beast Leaks site, with the entry showing the church’s official website (methodist.org.za), an estimated annual revenue of $14.2 million, and a total dataset size of 150GB.
The post, dated October 2, 2025, currently appears as ”unpublished”, indicating that the data has not yet been released publicly. However, the presence of multiple document previews on the leak page suggests that the group has exfiltrated sensitive materials in preparation for publication if ransom negotiations fail.
