A threat actor identified as B4baYega has claimed responsibility for a data breach affecting marchespublics.gov.ma, the official platform for public procurement in Morocco. The database was reportedly leaked on a dark web forum, containing:
- 35,000 lines of data
- 25,000 documents
- File formats: .csv, .pdf
The sample shared in the post suggests the leak includes detailed procurement records, public contracts, execution timelines, suppliers, and purchasing information, which are critical for transparency, but now exposed to misuse.
This incident adds to a growing trend of cyberattacks targeting Moroccan infrastructure and government platforms.
With the nation’s digital systems under continued pressure, actors like B4baYega are actively exploiting public-sector vulnerabilities for notoriety or financial gain.
