Threat actor Phantom Atlas has claimed responsibility for hacking the official website of the Sahrawi National Radio, an entity it describes as affiliated with Algerian intelligence services.
According to the message posted by the group, the attack was carried out in retaliation for the site’s alleged support of a “fake and terrorist entity.” Phantom Atlas says it gained access to the platform and wiped all published content and articles, rendering the website completely inaccessible to the public.
A defacement image featuring the group’s logo was uploaded, and the incident appears to be part of a broader wave of cyberattacks tied to rising tensions in the Maghreb region.
