Threat actor, Dedale Office, has shared an SQL database file of Algeria’s National Institute for Training Sector Employees, named sitegov.dz.sql
, with a file size of 16.6 MB.
While the full contents of the dump are not yet clear, the nature of the file suggests it could contain employee records, training-related data, internal communications, or other administrative information from the institute.
This is another reminder that education and training sector platforms are now regularly being targeted by threat actors in the region. Even small public institutions, often overlooked in cybersecurity planning, are increasingly being targeted.
Algerian authorities need to investigate this leak and assess the risks, especially if employee data or credentials were exposed.
