In a concerning escalation of cyberattacks against Moroccan institutions, the National Agency for Land Conservation, Cadastre, and Cartography (ANCFCC) has become the latest victim of a cyber breach. The attack was disclosed on a dark web forum by the threat actor JabaR00t, who claims to have full access to the agency’s databases.
According to the forum post, JabaR00t published screenshots of the ANCFCC’s logo and referenced their successful compromise with a prominent “HACKED” stamp over the agency’s branding. The ANCFCC, responsible for Morocco’s national cadastre and mapping services, manages critical data about land ownership and cadastral mapping — making this data breach particularly worrisome for property owners and government agencies.
The leaked data reportedly contains sensitive information regarding Morocco’s land and property records. While JabaR00t did not disclose the exact volume of data or types of files compromised, the threat actor claims to possess full databases from the agency.
This incident comes shortly after the National Social Security Fund of Morocco (CNSS) was also reportedly targeted by JabaR00t in early April 2025. These breaches suggest a focused campaign by JabaR00t against Moroccan government agencies, raising significant concerns for data security and sovereignty.
