A threat actor operating under the alias KILLUAX has leaked a dataset allegedly belonging to Telecom Egypt, the country’s leading telecommunications provider. The breach was posted on a dark web marketplace frequented by cybercriminals.
According to the post, the leak contains 124,416 rows of data. The compressed file is 6MB, while the uncompressed version is 35MB. The data breach is significant as it may expose the personal and potentially sensitive information of Telecom Egypt customers and employees.
Telecom Egypt, founded in 1854, is the oldest and largest fixed-line provider in Egypt. It plays a vital role in the country’s digital infrastructure, making this incident a critical blow to both national data security and customer trust.
